Be happy that your Dad loves you and your husband. The Chinese people honor their parents and consider them wise. People in the United States find alternate places to house their parents and consider them a nuisance. Why don't you buy a house with a small in-law suite attatched. Feng Shui is used to bring in luck, money, happiness etc…….not get rid of you father. Shame on you.

fengshui is not a cure-all.

there is a way to get rid of your dad, but it will also get rid of everybody living in the house – this is as far as fengshui is concerned. and most of the time, this can end up fatal for all.

remember fengshui is a chinese thing, and chinese do keep parents in the house for as long as they live, even when they become bothersome. you can only have 1 father and 1 mother. no matter how annoying they can be, they are irreplaceable, unlike husbands/ spouses! that is why there is something called divorce… have you heard somebody divorced a parent???

if you area really into fengshui. get a book by joey yap called xuan kong fei xing – it is a powerful method that it has significant effect in your life.

then enhance it with 8 mansions/ east-west method by lillian too. 8 mansions is easier, but it is less powerful. and your life cannot change significantly if you just use it.

i am sorry, but fengshui is not a general thing. you need to do some measurement, calculations and analysis to apply it properly.

fengshui is not about furniture arrangement. it is really not. i know that some books claim that it is. i think most books just write what people like to hear – a quick fix.

Not too sure. I googled it a year or so ago and came up with some stuff (I forget now, but it was interesting). Maybe a book from the library or bookstore as well?

all houses have energy inside it. fengshui is composed of a group of method which determines what kind of energy is present in a specific place/ area in that house. the kind of energy is not general, but specific – so you'd know how to use them, as a bedroom, or a kitchen or a living room, and so forth.

so when you know how to use the methods, you know how to manipulate how to shift the energy distibution in the house. in this case, you will make certain renovations like changing where you main door faces.

there is no such thing as bringing the positive energy into the house, well i guess it depends on the method you are using. when you use flying stars, you base it on the facing degree of the main door, as i was just explaining to you. when you use 8 mansions, you use your birthdate, but this is a not so powerful method. so most fengshui practitioner use this to enhance other methods. another is xuan kong da gua, which you can bring the positive energy outside (the house, such as a nearby bustling market), and into the house.

i am talking about classical methods of fengshui, which are more powerful than the tips you see at most books and websites.

That's ok. In feng shui it is good to have pictures in your bedroom. It pretty much emphasizes in the position of your bed: not directly facing the door; and don't put your bed under a window. So, you are good!
